Why support women? It is women who are the main carers in Malawi, many struggle to make ends meet to look after their family.

Our programmes include scholarships, providing menstruation support, vocational training, adult literacy, growing permaculture gardens, a safe motherhood unit and medical outreach visits to remote villages.

Getting to the venue - You can get to The Waggon and Horses by train to Surbiton Station and then a 15-minute walk or bus (K1 or 71) to the pub. I am afraid there isn’t a car park so why not be environmentally friendly and leave the car at home! The pub is opposite the Assembly Rooms used by Surbiton High School.

Bring some pound coins with you to participate in the fun and you can also pay for any donations by card. Activities include raffle, secret auction, heads & tails, and bunny auction!

If you want to do something practical you can donate period pants, washable sanitary pads, pants (size 10-14) and materials to make washable pads (microfibre cloths, umbrella fabric, patterned cloth). Bring them along on the night!

There will be a stall available if you need to get a little Christmas gift for your loved one!

I look forward to seeing you!

Heather
